Birger Patrick
Head of UX & design potato
Birger works mainly with our public sites, through UX/UI-design and front-end development in our content management systems. His experience in designing & punching out web-sites stretches back to before the Y2K madness, and since then he’s been tooling with several hundred sites.
He insists things haven’t changed much since the days of coding his first few sites during his stay at Østfold Univeristy College, and the era of Netscape Composer shows through his current browser choice...
An avid Umbraco CMS supporter, he’s a fan of keeping things simple for site visitors on both sides of the login dialog.
Favourite tools:
Corel Draw(!)
-For illustration, wireframing and 2D Vector design
Umbraco CMS
- Yet a case of brainwashing
Firefox Developer Edition
- For the additional tools, plugins, and non-extreme cache
Notepad++
- For the rimes when Resharper is acting up
MS Visual Studio
- So somebody can make his stuff actually work with theirs
Outside of staring at the screen and fighting/playing the keyboard & mouse, he enjoys mountainbiking and motorsports. He lives in Sarpsborg with his family. A 10 minute (all year) commute by bike from the Simployer HQ.
